TNC-G10 : Surface Grinder Controller 3-Axis
Three-axis surface grinder controller with automatic and manual operating modes, jogging, potentiometer speed control and homing, running directly from 90-250 V AC with a 20x4 LCD.
Overview
The TNC-G10 is a three-axis controller for surface grinding machines, built to automate the repetitive feed cycles a grinding operation otherwise runs by hand.
Operation is split between automatic and manual control, each offering three selectable modes, so the same controller can run a set cycle unattended or be driven directly for setup and one-off work. Jogging and speed control by potentiometer are available in manual operation, and a homing function establishes a reference position before a cycle starts. An emergency stop input halts the machine directly. The interface is a 20×4 alphanumeric LCD with a keypad, built for an operator on the shop floor rather than someone programming from a PC.
It runs directly from 90-250 V AC at 50/60 Hz, so no separate control supply has to be wired in, and generates a step pulse train at up to 40 kHz.
The enclosure is 165 x 102 x 76 mm and fits a 155 x 92 mm panel cutout. Maximum operating temperature is 55°C.

Can this run a grinding cycle unattended, or do I need to drive every pass by hand?
Both are available — automatic operation (three selectable modes) can run a set cycle unattended, and manual operation is there for setup and one-off work.
How do I establish a reference position before starting a cycle?
A homing function does that.
Does it need its own control power supply separate from the machine?
No — it runs directly from 90-260 V AC mains, no separate supply needed.
