Overview

The TNC-G01 indexes a rotary table through a programmed sequence of positions — the job that would otherwise need an operator counting divisions on a dial.

It is set up through a 20 × 4 character LCD using menus rather than a programming language, which is the right trade for a machine that will be configured once and then run by whoever is on shift.

Two pulse inputs are opto-isolated, keeping their grounds separate from the controller's — the usual source of false counts on a machine sharing a panel with contactors. Three output signals are available for sequencing whatever the index has to coordinate with: a clamp, a cycle start, an end-of-index signal to the host machine.

What is the difference between the TNC-G01 and TNC-G00?

Both share the same 20x4 display, two opto-isolated inputs and three outputs. The G01 uses a 16-bit controller and is described for rotary table indexing; the G00 uses a 32-bit controller and is described as a general programmable motor controller.

Can it drive the table motor directly?

It is a controller, not a drive. It commands a stepper or servo drive, which powers the motor.
