Overview

The M2574T030-8 is a NEMA 23 stepper motor with a 57mm flange, the highest-current and highest-torque motor in the 57mm-flange group in this catalogue.

It draws 5.0 A per phase and holds 3.0 Nm / 30.6 kg-cm at standstill, suited to a loaded router or engraver axis, or a lighter lathe axis, where the M2574T013-6.35 or M2574T022-8 would be undersized. At 5.0 A it needs a drive with headroom above that figure - the Tstep-117X or Tstep-168X range (up to 7.0-8.0 A) rather than the smaller Tstep-484.

Four lead wires bring out one connection per phase, fixed in series at the factory.

For a lighter axis where 3.0 Nm / 30.6 kg-cm is more than needed, the M2574T022-8 and M2574T013-6.35 cover the same 57mm flange at lower current and cost, sharing the same shaft diameter and mounting pattern. All three run at 4 lead wires with fixed series wiring, so the wiring approach doesn't change across the group either.
