Overview

The T110H150-6504 is a NEMA 42 stepper motor, the largest frame size in this catalogue's stepping-motor range, well beyond the NEMA 34 T85H series in torque.

It draws 6.5 A per phase (0.67 ohm, 13.12 mH) and holds 19 Nm / 193.7 kg-cm at standstill - roughly 50% more torque than the largest NEMA 34 motor here, the T85H156-6204 at 12.2 Nm / 124.0 kg-cm. At 6.5 A it needs a drive with real headroom above that current; the Tstep-168X (1.2-8.0 A) covers it, where smaller Tstep drives would not.

Four lead wires bring out one connection per phase, fixed in series at the factory.

A NEMA 42 motor is heavy and its mounting flange, shaft coupling and machine frame all need to be sized for it - this is a motor for a heavily loaded axis, not a drop-in upgrade on a mount built for a NEMA 34 motor. Where NEMA 34 torque is enough, the T85H series covers up to 12.2 Nm / 124.0 kg-cm at lower current and weight.

Can I bolt this onto a mount I've already built for a NEMA 34 motor?

No — this is a heavy motor, and the mounting flange, shaft coupling and machine frame all need to be sized for it specifically. It's not a drop-in upgrade on a NEMA 34 mount.

What drive does 6.5A actually need?

The Tstep-168X (1.2-8.0A) — smaller Tstep drives don't have the headroom to cover it.
