T42H47-1684 NEMA-17 Stepper
NEMA 17 stepper motor, 47mm body, 1.68 A/phase, 0.43 Nm / 4.4 kg-cm holding torque, 4 lead wires.
Overview
The T42H47-1684 is a NEMA 17 stepper motor with a 47mm body and a single output shaft.
It draws 1.68 A per phase (1.65 ohm, 2.8 mH) and holds 0.43 Nm / 4.4 kg-cm at standstill. Despite the higher current than the T42H47-1504, its holding torque is lower - the two motors are wound differently rather than one simply being a current-upgraded version of the other, so the choice between them should follow the torque figure, not the current figure. Current stays inside the range of the Tstep-484 (0.7-4.0 A) or a Tstep-087-family drive.
Four lead wires bring out one connection per phase, fixed in series at the factory.
The T42H47-1684B shares this exact electrical spec but adds a second shaft end, for mounting an encoder or handwheel on the back of the motor without giving up the front output shaft.
Both share the T42H47-1504's 47mm body and 42mm mounting flange, so any of the three drop into the same mount.

Questions
This draws more current than the T42H47-1504 — does that mean it has more torque?
No, actually the opposite — despite the higher current, this motor's holding torque (0.43 Nm) is lower than the T42H47-1504's (0.54 Nm). The two are wound differently rather than one being a current-upgraded version of the other, so choose between them by the torque figure, not the current figure.
This is single-shaft — is there a version with a second shaft end for an encoder or handwheel?
Yes — the T42H47-1684B shares this motor's exact electrical spec but adds a second shaft end for that.
Does this fit the same mount as the T42H47-1504?
Yes — both share the 47mm body and 42mm mounting flange, so any of the three (this, the T42H47-1504, and the T42H47-1684B) drop into the same mount.
What drive covers this motor?
The Tstep-484 (0.7-4.0A) or a Tstep-087-family drive.
