Overview

The T42H47-1684B is a NEMA 17 stepper motor electrically identical to the T42H47-1684 - same current, resistance, inductance and 0.43 Nm / 4.4 kg-cm holding torque - but with a second shaft end extending out the back of the motor.

That rear shaft is for mounting a rotary encoder for closed-loop feedback, or a handwheel for manual jogging, without occupying the front output shaft that drives the load. It is the only functional difference from the single-shaft T42H47-1684; everything electrical is the same, so the same drive applies - the Tstep-484 (0.7-4.0 A) or a Tstep-087-family drive both cover the 1.68 A rating with headroom.

Four lead wires bring out one connection per phase, fixed in series at the factory.

For the plain single-shaft version at the same spec, the T42H47-1684 is the equivalent motor without the rear shaft, sharing the same 42mm mounting flange and 47mm body length.
