T57H56-2804 NEMA-23 Motor

NEMA 23 stepper motor, 56mm body, 2.8 A/phase, 1.24 Nm / 12.6 kg-cm holding torque, 4 leads.

Flange size
57 mm (NEMA 23)
Phase current
2.8 A
Holding torque
1.24 Nm \ 12.6 kg-cm

Overview

The T57H56-2804 is a NEMA 23 stepper motor with a 56mm body, drawing the same 2.8 A per phase as the shorter T57H51-2804 but holding more torque - 1.24 Nm / 12.6 kg-cm against 0.99 Nm / 10.1 kg-cm - because the longer body carries more magnetic material for the same current.

Winding figures are 0.9 ohm and 2.5 mH. The 2.8 A current suits a Tstep-087 or Tstep-117X range drive (1.2-7.0 A) without needing anything larger, and leaves headroom for a supply voltage sag under load.

Four lead wires bring out one connection per phase, fixed in series at the factory.

For still more torque at the same current, the T57H76-2804 runs a 76mm body at 1.85 Nm / 18.9 kg-cm. The T57H56-2804B shares this exact electrical spec under a separate SKU. All of these share the same NEMA 23 flange, so a mount built for one accepts the others, and all wire four leads in fixed series.

Supplied by Tiny Controls in India.

Questions

I've also seen a "T57H56-2804B" listing — is that a different motor?

No — it shares this motor's exact electrical spec under a separate SKU.

How is this different from the T57H51-2804?

Same 2.8A current, but more torque (1.24 Nm vs 0.99 Nm) — the longer 56mm body carries more magnetic material for the same current.

Is there more torque available at the same current?

Yes — the T57H76-2804 runs a 76mm body at 1.85 Nm / 18.9 kg-cm, still at 2.8A.

Does the current leave any headroom, or is it right at the drive's limit?

There's headroom — a Tstep-087 or Tstep-117X range drive (1.2-7.0A) covers 2.8A without needing anything larger, leaving room for a supply voltage sag under load.

Does this share a mount with the other T57H motors?

Yes — same NEMA 23 flange throughout the series.
