4 Axes CNC Controller — TNC-M34
Four-axis standalone CNC controller with a dual-core ARM processor, 7-inch graphic display and an MPG handheld pendant for jogging, driving stepper or servo drives at up to 500 kHz per axis.
Overview
The TNC-M34 is a standalone four-axis CNC controller: it reads standard G-code from a USB drive or its internal SD card and runs the program itself, with no PC required once the file is loaded.
A dual-core ARM processor drives four axes through 8 differential outputs at up to 500 kHz per axis, for smooth linear and circular motion on stepper or servo drives. The 7-inch graphic display shows axis position, active G/M codes, feed rate and spindle speed together, and six soft keys along the side give direct access to settings, block run, block delete, auto tool zero, starting from a specific line, and the system clock — the controls a machine actually gets used for, on screen rather than buried in a menu.
The included MPG pendant carries its own display and a handwheel for jogging, with jog scale (1, 10, 100 or 1000 microns per pulse) and the selected axis shown on both the pendant and the main screen, so an operator can jog from beside the machine rather than reaching back to the panel.
I/O covers 16 opto-coupled NPN inputs, 14 open-collector 24 V outputs (200 mA each), and 4 relay outputs for coolant or spindle switching, plus custom M-code control (M62-M66) for synced or immediate output changes mid-program. An isolated 0-10V output, switchable to PWM, sets spindle speed.
It runs from a single 24 VDC supply at 0.5 A, and firmware updates from Tiny Controls install without returning the unit.
If handwheel jogging is not needed, the TNC-M34S is the same controller without the pendant, jogged from the panel keypad instead.

Can this cut arcs and circles, or just straight-line moves?
Both — the 8 differential outputs at up to 500 kHz per axis are built for smooth linear and circular motion on stepper or servo drives.
How do I jog the machine from beside it instead of walking back to the panel?

Can I trigger a relay or output change mid-program without pausing the job?
Yes — custom M-codes (M62-M66) handle synced or immediate output changes mid-program.
Does it control spindle speed directly, or do I need a separate speed reference?

If firmware needs updating later, do I have to send the unit back?
