TS-22 2.2KW Air Cooled Spindle Motor ER-16
2.2 kW air-cooled AC spindle, 10,000-24,000 rpm, ER16 collet, 80 mm dia x 230 mm, 5.45 kg.
Overview
The TS-22 is a 2.2 kW air-cooled spindle, stepping up from the ER11-collet spindles in this range to an ER16 collet that accepts larger-shank tooling.
It runs at 10,000-24,000 rpm, the same range as the smaller spindles, and holds tooling in an ER16 collet - a step up from the ER11 fitted to the TS-19/TS-20/TS-21 below it, letting it take heavier cutters at the same rpm. The body is 80 mm in diameter and 230 mm long, weighing 5.45 kg.
Power is 2.2 kW, drawn from a 220 V three-phase supply at 10 A through a variable frequency drive sized for the motor; the VFD's output frequency sets the running speed within the rated range.
Being air-cooled, it needs clear airflow around the body. The water-cooled TS-23 shares the same power, dimensions and speed range but fits an ER20 collet for still larger shanks.
Supplied by Tiny Controls in India.

Questions
What does the ER16 collet actually buy me over the ER11 spindles below it?
The ability to take larger-shank, heavier cutters at the same 10,000-24,000 rpm range — ER16 is a step up from the ER11 fitted to the TS-19/TS-20/TS-21.
Is there a water-cooled version of this one?
There's the TS-23 — same power, dimensions and speed range, but note it also steps up to an ER20 collet rather than being a straight water-cooled copy of this one.
Can this be mounted in a sealed enclosure?
No — it's air-cooled, so it needs clear airflow around the body.
What supply and VFD does it need?
2.2 kW from a 220 V three-phase supply at 10 A.
