TS-32 3.5KW Spindle Motor, Square Air Cooled (380V)
3.5 kW air-cooled square-body AC spindle, 8,000-18,000 rpm, ER20 collet, 6.8 kg, 380 V three-phase.
Overview
The TS-32 is a 3.5 kW air-cooled spindle in a square body, identical in power, speed and weight to the TS-31 but wound for a 380 V three-phase supply.
It runs at 8,000-18,000 rpm, a lower range than the round-body spindles in this catalogue, suited to larger cutters taking heavier bites. Tooling is held in an ER20 collet, and the spindle weighs 6.8 kg. The square body and mounting bracket differ from the round spindles elsewhere in the range, so the mount needs to be built for this profile.
Power is 3.5 kW, drawn from a 380 V three-phase supply at 10 A through a variable frequency drive sized for the motor; the VFD's output frequency sets the running speed within the rated range. The higher supply voltage draws less current than the 220 V TS-31 for the same power.
Where only a 220 V three-phase supply is available, the TS-31 delivers the same 3.5 kW and speed range wound for that voltage instead.

Questions
My workshop only has 220 V three-phase, not 380 V — should I look elsewhere?
Yes — the TS-31 delivers the same 3.5 kW and speed range wound for a 220 V supply instead.
Why does this draw only 10 A when the 220 V TS-31 draws 14 A at the same power?
The higher 380 V supply draws less current for the same power output — that's the main practical benefit of choosing the 380 V version where it's available.
Will this fit the mount I've built for a round-body spindle?
No — the square body and mounting bracket differ from the round spindles elsewhere in the range, so the mount needs to be built for this profile specifically.
What collet does it use?
ER20.
How much does it weigh?
6.8 kg, identical to the TS-31.
